Slinkachu
Slinkachu's pictures are creative and imaginative. He is a british street artist, photographer and blogger. He is mostly known for his little people, which he has installed in various locations around london in 2006
My favorite slinkachu picture
I like this shot because it shows a man protecting a girl by shooting a bee. The photographer probably went out and found a dead bee then set up the scene. The focus point is the flower and the model. This is the focus point because it stands out more than the background because one is bright and one is dull. When photographers take these kind of shoots, it gives contrast. Which makes the picture interesting
David Gilliver
David gilliver graduated at the fine art photography course in Glasgow. He is a keen macro photographer who likes to take pictures of miniature figures. He has inspired me aswell as slinkachu to do my little people project.
My first slinkachu attempt
My best take
I like this picture because of the angle and the depth of field. If i was to do this image again, I would use less bluetac. My colours are also contrasting like the earlier example of Slinkachu.
My worst take
I dont like this picture because my finger and the blutac is visible. I will try cropping this image to improve it. On my next shoot I will remember to put the little figures in/on an object to try tell a story. Because it is so in focus, you can see that the slinkachus have no face.
My slinkachu plan
My plan is to recreate a murder scene using my iPhone as the backround.
I use a slinkachu figure and pretended he was murdering someone
It has a small medium f stop because you can see the background and figure at the same time.
I use a slinkachu figure and pretended he was murdering someone

My second attempt
Best take
I like this picture because of the angle. But the picture is blurred, so I haven't used an appropriate depth of field. Also you can see the blu tac at the edge of the phone. You can also see most of the phone frame. Next time I will make sure that you cant see the blu tac. I will zoom in and frame the picture so I cant see the edge of the phone.
Worst take
I dont like this picture because the white balance is to high.
My slinkachu plan
My plan is to recreate a business man climbing a volcano. I am going to try and use the rule of thirds and think about my composition a bit more. I will try to use compositional traingles.
Best take
I like this image because it is close up and blurs out the rest of the background but it also blurs out the character
Worst take
I dislike this photo the character is completely blurred out. Next time I will use a larger depth of field.
My Slinkachu plan
My plan is to recreate a hanging scene. I am trying to recreate a hanging to add a feeling of depression into my work.
Best take
l like it because its a close up of the person being executed and every thing else is blurred. The focus point on this picture is sharp as the background is blurred out.
Worst take
I dislike this picture because the character is completely out of focus. My focul point was focusing on the back ground instead of the figure.
Plan
My plan is to have a little character shown against something big to show perspective and proportion. I did this shoot outside because the last location wasnt very sutaible.
Best take
I like this shoot because I like this picture because the focus point is on the mini figure. I have used a small depth of field and the picture is taken from a worms eye view
Worst take
I think this is my worst shoot because you can see the whole scene even the bricks at the back. It has a large depth of field and the focus point isnt on the mini figure
5th shoot
I have used double sided tape for this shoot. It is better than blue tac as it isnt as visible. I have used the polling station as the general election is coming up so I thought it would be a good idea.
These are my best photos because I have changed my F stop and adapted my depth of field just like slinkachu. The bottom picture uses the rule of thirds whereas the top one has bright colours so it is easier to spot.
MY Best Photographs.
Evaluation
I think I have improved my slinkachu work from when I first started it. I have started changing the depth of field and other things such as a worms eye view and started taking the picture in landscape/portrait forms. This project helped me learn the cameras settings better. It has helped me understand the depth of field better.
